How to spot them, name them, and push back safely

Patriarchy isn’t just “men controlling women.” It’s a system of beliefs, habits, and incentives that trains all of us—women included—to treat men’s time, comfort, bodies, and desires as more valuable. Misogyny is how that system enforces itself: through dismissal, mockery, punishment, or violence when women step out of line.

Most of it isn’t dramatic. It’s subtle, “polite,” and easy to miss. That’s why the work begins with seeing.
